MEDICARE PARTS A, B, D, & C

MEDICARE PART A
HOSPITAL CARE
Medicare Part A covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility, hospice, lab tests, surgery, home health care.

MEDICARE PART B
DOCTORS VISITS
Medicare Part B is part of Original Medicare and covers medical services and supplies that are medically necessary to treat your health condition. This can include outpatient care, preventive services, ambulance services, and durable medical equipment.

MEDICARE PART D
PRESCRIPTION DRUG COVERAGE
Medicare Part D, also called the Medicare prescription drug benefit, is a program to help Medicare beneficiaries pay for self-administered prescription drugs through prescription drug insurance premiums.

All plans must cover a wide range of prescription drugs that people with Medicare take. A plan’s list of covered drugs is called a “formulary,” and each plan has its own formulary. Many plans place drugs into different levels, called “tiers,” on their formularies. Drugs in each tier have a different cost. For example, a drug in a lower tier will generally cost you less than a drug in a higher tier.
MEDICARE PART C
MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS
Medicare Part C or an Advantage Plan is another Medicare health plan choice you may have as part of Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans are offered by private companies approved by Medicare and sometime include Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D) along with other ancillary benefits.
